I especially liked the Bukowski link-his story for all the Bukowski hardcore.
hello poets, writers, storytellers and you
please read the info below. you can be there, you can hear it on the radio, you can listen to it on-line and you can have me send you the link. todd boyd and kae sable to great work producing and recording the event, the recordings sound wonderful and the people who come to the show are even better. mostly novelists, short story writers and tale weavers and poets too. and its FUN. PLUS THERE IS COFFEE TEA AND SNACKS. its a good thing …
i’m really thrilled to be reading/performing w/ lynette blumhardt who i have enjoyed live and on the aforementioned recordings. she has real style and is sooo spot on observational with a wry sense of humour. she will make you think as well as be entertained.
as for me … i’ll try to live up to the love theme to some degree and figure some way to be experimentally creative w/ something new … as charles baudelaire said ‘ to find in the depths of the unknown the new… always always to find the new ‘ see you saturday
just in case you wanted to hear ‘junkie’ read to you by william burroughs … thanks brian eno

GUT TERK: THE COOLEST OF THE COOL
Gut Terk – the legendary outlaw biker, Merry Prankster, Blue Cheer manager, poster and album cover artist and Acid Test graduate now rides in paradise
one of my heroes and a poet in life. many a blue cheer backstage and free passes came from him. met him in high school and later at chateau liberte’ … to be and to have done all he did and create. the world and the hells angels are minus a warrior. that word is now made cheap buy its over use by poseurs. seems like almost everyone knows a self titled self entitled ‘warrior’ … GUT WAS THE REAL DEAL … and blue cheer … the band and the lsd made their mark. ride on gut … glad to have known thee … the story is a great read w/ mind blowing posters
ooh ooooh i LOVE this. had the book as a kid and could recite my ‘gorey alphabet’ on call to my grandparents. thank you!!
For Tom Petty
Thank you For The Tom Petty comments … My friend Jon Scott was considered by many to be Tom Petty’s BFF. while working for ABC records promoted Tom from the beginning to the end. Tom thanks him below at the ‘last show’ he talked tom into moving to LA and even paid his rent many times. Tom was almost a fixture at KSJO when i worked there, him the band and Tony D, longtime manager. first time i saw petty … palo alto … 17 paid admissions … of course … i was on the ‘guest list’ being a college radio dj KZSU

For Neil Young
0ff the ducks … story (recently published history), duck wiki, and various compilation recordings and high lighted songs from various gigs. saw the good times article 5 days old and went on duck search.  this stuff was SO rare and coveted. i had cassettes of some but this is amazing how many recordings  people have posted now. The ducks were so much a FUN band as players were great, bob mosley bass for moby grape would sing ‘gypsy wedding’ from the grape. Jeff’s guitar and Neil playin was a cool mesh .. and one time i watched neil jump down from the stage onto the dance floor and dance w/ some girls to his own band. they were ‘that kinda’ shows.  i guess they were ‘those kinda times’  enjoy
In the summer of 1977 Neil Young moved to town to make legendary music
The Ducks (formerly known as the Jeff Blackburn Band) were a short-lived hard rock supergroup formed in the summer of 1977 by singer-songwriter Jeff Blackburn.
